Did you know that: - Today, 1 in 3 girls of secondary school age is NOT enrolled in secondary school - Young girls are three times more likely than boys to be out of school - Women with secondary education may expect to earn twice as much as those with no education. - Once employed, woman globally earn on average 77 per cent of what men earn - Investing in adolescent girls accelerates progress for all – for themselves, for families and for nations The pace of progress must be accelerated to overcome longstanding barriers and advance the rate of opportunity.
