The shadow Guerlain: Ecrin 4 Couleurs Long-Lasting Eyeshadows, #10 Les Ombres de Nuit, which are the subject of this post was part of the limited edition Christmas collection 2011 from Guerlain, called Belle De Nuit ( this collection from the author Mechtatelnaya).

Although the applied use of my opinion will not be as limited of shadows long gone, I still want to introduce you to this beautiful palette, and at the same time show six different variants of makeup — perhaps this will be a practical and aesthetic benefit from this review.
On a cardboard box after the main title of shadows indicated the phrase: "captivating colors" — "captivating colors". I draw this to your attention because the colors and textures are truly fascinating — seeing the palette in person, I without hesitation bought it. Without a shadow of a doubt! And despite the fact that in most cases I try to avoid blue tones in the eye makeup...
First, a bit afraid of atypical for me of colors, but from the first use I realized that the choice was made correctly. Palette of incredible beauty that allows you to create a variety of options, especially evening makeup...
But — all in good time.
Cardboard box, black velvet cover, Golden hard case is securely closed with a magnet. At the same time discreet and luxurious design. Large mirror that can be locked in any position. The perfect applicator! Comfortable length, one side rounded, the other — the pointed triangular shape, even the hands can draw. Until recently, better applicators in the luxury shadows I never met (until recently, because recently I met a five-color the shade of Lancome, but that's another story).
Take a closer look at the shades...
1. Silver with clear share of beige, which makes it less cold and more versatile. Very highly reflective, with abundant overlaying creates an almost mother-of-pearl-silk effect with semi-transparent application — a slight glow. The shade is perfect and for highlights, and to create glare, and as basic and as rastushevok. Metallic texture, which is stated in all the "color of colors" this palette (except for black), makes this, in General, neutral and peaceful shade are incredibly festive.
2. Celadon, muted and metallic at the same time duochrome of emerald and turquoise, with lots of shimmering particles. The shade is very variable, can vary greatly depending on adjacent colors. Allows you to vary the saturation. Incredibly beautiful on the black background.
3. Dark blue — or rather, shining blue on a matte black base, separate lighting particles are practically not distinguishable. Blackish blue that looks almost black, if it misses the light, and shining dark blue if the light hits. Who would have thought that this shade will be my favorite eyeshadow palette?! It is suitable for drawing arrows (the color is perfectly pigmented), and for soft shading the lash line, and darkening the outer corner of the eyes, and for a fantastic smoky eyes makeup.
4. Black. In the black-and-black box in black-black velvet cover hiding black-black tint... But if without jokes, then this is the perfect, a perfect matte black. Best black shadow I had. Suitable for painting or clear feathered arrows, to mix with other shades for their darkening, as the basis for smoky eyes and also looks great playing the solo in smoky makeup. Furthermore, it is as dry liner, which not only can draw arrows, but also to emphasize the mucous looks and holds great, does not irritate the eye.
We would like to note that texture color shades of the most impressive in artificial light, which makes this palette perfect for evening makeup.
The quality of shade beyond praise. Pigmented, long-lasting, working at the makeup in different techniques... Ideal! It is a pity that among the permanent collection of the shades seem to me not so interesting, otherwise I would have been many of these four color palettes...

As the number of photos is limited by the format of the community, I decided to limit myself and to show the variations of makeup, which used only this palette, any additional costs (shadow or pencil), only the Les Ombres de Nuit and mascara.
1. The demonstration that makeup with this palette can be very restrained. Used black color combined with silver. It is a daily black and white version.
2. The color of a sea wave on a movable century and silver under the eyebrow, plus a drop of the black line above the upper lashes, old version quickly.
3. Smoky eyes on the basis of black along the lash line and on the mucous membrane, the primary color is dark blue, the brow bone silver.
4. Used the whole palette. Black on the lash line, horizontal transition from blue in the outer corner to the silver in the internal, center — celadon, under the eyebrow — the same silvery translucent application.
5. Solo part matte black. He's the mucous. In General matte monomaker smoky eyes.
6. The transformation of the previous version by layering Navy blue on a black substrate, mainly in the center of the mobile eyelid, to create a shimmering emerald light.
