I have always been a sportsperson since my school days having represented the Karnataka state and Bangalore University many a times in my career. In 2010, I got an opportunity to work with an MNC in the night shift. I took up this job and had to let go my flair for sports. I had disconnected myself from playing sports and developed a very bad back pain in the year 2014. I had become obese and this was the trigger for me to start off my journey in running. Running helps me keep my mind fresh, taught me to be patient and helped me cure my back problem.
I have run over countless 10k’s, 40+ half marathons, 12+ Full Marathons and 4+ Ultra marathons.
PB’s- 10k- 51:45; HM- 1:58 and FM- 4:58 respectively.
It’s been over 3 years since I ran a race but have always been a pacer at the events I choose to run as I believe that, the satisfaction you get post helping the fellow runners complete their race is immense. I like to help the running community to achieve their targets and hence, I choose to pace over racing.
By profession, I work as a Senior consultant at an Investment Bank. Running has taught me a lot from planning my day to being patient.
I am shy person when it comes to training people and it does not come to me naturally. I put in a lot of effort when it comes to training people. The best part about a trainer is to be patient, be compassionate and respect each and every individual. I have had the chance to train many individuals on their running journey and I am glad that I have inspired each one of them on one way or the other.
