Clinical Nutritionist, Lovneet Batra @lovneetb talks about Nutrition for Newborns. Nutritional needs of a newborn differ from full grown kids, but they still do need all essential nutrients for their physical and mental growth. The first 6 months after a baby is born, nutrition for newborn comes from breastfeeding. So, it’s primarily the mother of the child who needs a proper balanced diet full of fruits, veggies, oats, grains, cereals etc. for the child to be able to acquire the essential nutrients present in the mother’s milk. After six months of age, solids are introduced to the babies when taking care of nutrition becomes even more crucial. It’s a process for babies to get used to the different foods & learning to eat. They usually start slow & may show their own likings for different foods like fruits or vegetables etc. As the baby start taking proper meals getting them introduced to different kind of food like mentioned below is important to balance their nutritional needs. -Porridge -mashed fruits -just 2-3 spoonfuls of boiled messed veggies Start giving solids to your child in accordance with the plan your physician prepares to encourage your baby’s growth to happen at a healthy pace. #Nutrition #NationalNutritionMonth #healthybaby #healthymeals #MAATÉ #TruetoMotherhood
